Nintendo Gamecube

I am the original owner of this, and also the Game Boy Player add-on. I got the Gamecube as a gift, bundled with Super Mario Sunshine. The prospect of Mario, Zelda, and Sonic on the same console made the Gamecube my first pick for that generation. Later, the Game Boy Player was a must-have.

In late 2021 it stopped reading discs. I adjusted the laser slightly and it worked for a while. In 2023 it stopped working again. I replaced the laser assembly, but it still doesn't work, so it must be the capacitors. I'm not ready to work on surface-mount capacitors yet, so in the meantime I've been using the Wii.
